I had a lot of fun taking Julia Robert's iconic smile and turning it into something freakish. Also, creating this piece in black ink with some rough brush textures and pen patterns helped add to the roughness. I'm sure this is one image of her you'll never see in People magazine.

I actually submitted this in a threadless t-shirt competiton, and it was funny to see how polarizing it was. Most people were offended that I would dare to mess with a hollywood icon as sacred and holy as Julia, but there were a lot of people who loved it too.
I tend to think celebrities are pretty ridiculous in general, so I like the idea of making a series out of it. Thanks for the encouragement.
